I'd like to be a tutor because I enjoy sharing knowledge that I have gained over the past several years of education in STEM. I have had several tutoring positions before (see below), and my students have always been satisfied with my performance as a tutor. I have extensive experience working with individual students to formulate their personalized best strategy and achieve their highest potential. I have myself used several different studying strategies to prepare for standardized tests (DAT especially) as well as classes, and I am always happy to share these different techniques with tutees. Previous tutoring experience: At Tufts, I gave one-on-one tutoring sessions for the Dental Admissions Test. My Academic Average on the test was a 23, with uniform scores across all sections. As a biology tutor and teaching assistant at Tufts University, I gave mini lectures and led workshops during my junior and senior years. I did one-on-one sessions as well as group sessions. In group sessions, I worked with students to get to the bottom of case studies and to use computer simulation for biological concepts. I have also tutored high school students in Hungary for their admissions tests to dental school. These tests included biology and general chemistry. I also served as a mentor to predental students at Tufts University during my senior year. I prepared them for the DAT and gave them other advice regarding applying to dental school. I have a 10-year-old sister who appreciates my help on anything academic related, but particularly math. Played college basketball at Tufts University at the D3 level. My parents are Hungarian and I speak Hungarian fluently. I dabble at golf. Like to read nonfiction over the summer. Usually don't sleep with a pillow... I am 6'4, 200 lbs so I eat a lot. I cook Hungarian cuisine courtesy of my mom . I exercise (jog, lift) nearly every day to get the blood flowing. Need it to do well in school.
